1. Software Engineer 2

The Enterprise Application & Services (EAS) team owns the Microsoft implementation of SAP, a large-scale enterprise solution featuring SAP ECC (FI/CO, SD and HR modules), SAP SCM (APO, SNP, EM, DP, EM), GTS, PS, BODS & BW. As a part of the SESIT-EAS team, as a Software Engineer, you will be personally involved in leading the designing, coding and testing features that enable our mission critical business partners. You will develop software and services at scale, innovating on the latest technologies (Cloud, Big Data, Mobile, Social, Security Software and services) while engineering for automated testing (in a TDD environment), Continuous Integration & Deployment as well as instrumenting telemetry that helps us monitor our service and helps diagnose and resolve issues quickly. You will work closely with peers across teams to help build flexible and high-performing components that enable next generation of business services. 

Job Description/ Requrement:

• Design and develop large scale data integration services and solutions
• Strong experience in SAP ETL tools such as BODS/BOBJ with Hanna Cloud Integration as a plus.
• Medium experience with SAP backend development skills in ABAP, Extractor development, or business warehouse development.  
• Strong tsql and database design skills.
• Practice Agile+ software development by adding and leveraging Telemetry/Instrumentation to our components and services to drive decisions while executing in an agile cadence for engineering activities such as: designing, coding, testing, debugging and incident management.
• Adhere to and drive sound software engineering practices through design reviews, system design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, leveraging data / telemetry to make decisions.
• Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
• Support team efforts in adopting relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes from Microsoft and industry.
• Pays utmost attention to quality right from the design phase, incorporating TDD practices and are engineered for testability
• Exposes test coverage issues, organizes and implements integration tests, and resolves problem areas.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.
• Applies coding patterns and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines of the project team.
• Identify new opportunities to help meet our customers’ needs.
• Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs.

Qualifications: 

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years’ development experience in BODS/BW/ABAP writing and reviewing code daily in a team environment.
• At least 5 years of hands on ETL development experience with 3 years using BODS.
• 3 years in ABAP, extractors, BW or TSQL.
• .Net skills a plus.

2. Support Engineer

As a member of the Core team in Platform Support, you will be responsible for delivering OS support for Microsoft enterprise customers, primarily based out of north America. This would include phone as well as remote support. As an incumbent, you will be required to deliver timely and high quality incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer.

Job Description/ Requrement:

•  Supporting Enterprise customers on phone and remotely
• Scoping and documenting customer scenarios, potential causes and troubleshooting steps
• Effectively communicating with customers and stakeholders via, phone, email or any other available means
• Assess self knowledge and collaborate or escalate as needed
• Pro-actively work towards self development and sharing knowledge
• Ensuring compliance with schedules; processes and MS policies and values

Qualifications: 

Qualification & experience
Minimum:

• Total three years of experience in working on Microsoft® Windows 2003 Server and above.
• MCSE - Windows 2003 and above
• Good Communication Skills in spoken and written English
• Prior customer support experience            

Preferred:

• MCSE - Windows 2008
• Technology Certifications - Cisco, Novell, Unix, Security etc.
• Prior technical phone/remote support experience
• ITIL Certified

Technical Skills & experience
Minimum:

• Basic hardware and peripheral troubleshooting
• Installation configuring & troubleshooting Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows Vista in standalone and  server environment
• Backup, Storage and recovery
• Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, Routing, Antivirus, Firewalls etc.

Optional for Core:
Strong Experience in any of the following technologies:

• Backup, Storage & DR Technologies
• Windows Clustering
• Deployment (Sysprep, Windows Deployment Services or MDT)
• Hyper-V, VMware
• Memory Management, Windows Registry, Blue Screen
