Trainee - Software

Job Description/ Requirement:

Willing to work in shifts - 24X7
  • Good at communication : Application/Production Support of Applications developed on technologies like Java/J2EE, .NET etc, OS like Windows, UNIX Solaris, AIX etc.
  • Supporting servers like WAS, IIS, Web logic etc, Databases - DB2, SQL,Oracle etc.
  • Monitoring/Alerting Tools like Sitescope, Hunter, Tivoli etc, Ticket tracking Tools like Remedy, HP Open View Service Desk etc
  • Documentation of complete Incident and Problem Management procedures and all activities carried out by the team
  • 24/7 365 Oncall Support and Willingness to learn new technology and work in shifts
  • Resolving PRD/Non PRD related incidents and providing user support. Initiate and coordinate with Development team till the closure of the ticket. Resolve all service requests by restoring user services.
  • Transitioning processes and tools and techniques, scheduling tools, support and maintenance concepts related to incident/ problem/service request life cycles, metrics and resolution principles, SLA Frameworks, SLA management processes etc.
  • Restore normal service operation as quickly as possible and minimize the adverse impact on business operations. Respond to contacts Email, Chat, Web, Call and create a Request ticket with appropriate tasks and approvals to engineering groups. Documenting the ticket with all required information. Perform troubleshooting using the Project tools and resources.
  • Managing Minor Enhancements/L2 tickets as required
