Assistant Manager - Emerging Technologies Researcher -SIT- Sensing

Job Description:

• Conduct in-depth research on emerging technologies and articulate their impact on sectors, business functions
• Identify new trends, topics and articulate why is it important for Deloitte and its clients to take note, through proof points
• Manage projects with minimal supervision from ideation to delivery
• Identify trends by tracking news articles and vendor announcements and analyzing investment and market data
• Develop content for presentations and reports, as well as supporting analytics, for global and innovation leaders, as required
• Liaison with US and India team members to understand requirements and prioritize work
• Identify potential data sources and weigh alternate sources based on their strengths and weaknesses
• Deliver relevant, accurate, comprehensive research as per quality standards and in a timely manner
• Provide incisive summaries of research findings for Deloitte leadership and innovation team members

Requirement:

• Technical Skills:  Understanding of IT applications, business analysis, vendor analysis and capability mapping skills desired.
• Knowledge of emerging technology and business trends is required.
• Strong research skills; facility with databases such as Factiva, Hoovers, OneSource, and Thomson; research providers such as Gartner and Forrester; and aptitude for identifying and mastering new data sources quickly.
• Experience in vendor analysis, technology research, business analysis, IT consulting, strategy 
• Excellent strategic thinking and knowledge of strategy development, competitive strategy, and scenario planning 
• Outstanding core consulting skills – i.e. analytical, primary and secondary research, presentation, and modelling (superior PowerPoint and Excel), including logical structuring and storytelling
• Ability to synthesize large sets of data and integrate into meaningful and intuitive reports and recommendations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Facility with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong team player, preferably with experience working in virtual teams
