The Airports Authority of India or AAI under the Ministry of Civil Aviation is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. It provides Air traffic management (ATM) services over Indian airspace and adjoining oceanic areas. It also manages a total of 125 Airports, including 12 International Airports, 7 Customs Airports, 78 Domestic Airports and 26 Civil enclaves at Military Airfields. AAI also has ground installations at all airports and 25 other locations to ensure safety of aircraft operations. AAI covers all major air-routes over Indian landmass via 29 Radar installations at 11 locations along with 700VOR/DVOR installations co-located with Distance Measuring Equipment (DME). 52 runways are provided with Instrument landing system (ILS) installations with Night Landing Facilities at most of these airports and Automatic Message Switching System at 15 Airports.

Job Description:
Airports Authority of India invites applications from the eligible candidates who are domicile of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andaman & Nicobar and Sikkim States for the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Service) NE-4 level at various airports in the above States in Eastern Region. Domicile Certificate issued from the O/o The District Magistrate to be uploaded along with the Application Form.
Requierement:
- Qualification : 10th Pass + 3 years approved regular Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Fire with minimum 50% marks; OR b) 12th Pass (Regular Study) with 50% marks.
- Desirable : Due weightage shall be given to a candidate possessing any one or more (subject to maximum limit of the following)
- Computer Science as subject at 12th class level;
- NCC “B” Certificate;
- Relevant experience in an aviation/regular/industrial fire service.
- Basic Fire Fighting Training Course from AAI Fire Training Establishment;
- Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.
- Age Limit : 18 to 30 years as on 30th September 2018.
- Physical Fitness (Shall be verified through Medical Test)
- Eye Sight : i. Distance Vision – 6/6 Both Eyes without Glasses. ii. Near Vision – N-5 in Both Eyes without Glasses. iii. (Visual Evaluation is for each eye individually). iv. Color Vision – Should be Normal as determined by Ischihara’s charts
- Height : Not less than 167 cm. ( Female 157 cms)
- Chest*: 81 cm normal. Minimum expansion 05 cm. (Female N/A)
- Weight : Not less than 55 kg. (Female 45 kgs)
- Hearing : Normal
- Speech : Normal
- Relaxation by 3 cms in height and chest measurement and proportionate relaxation in weight will be allowed to candidates of hilly areas on production of Bonafide certificates. However, minimum chest expansion must be 5 cms. No other relaxation will be allowed to any other category
