1. Information Security Engineer (DevSecOps)
Job Description:
In this role, you will contribute to the vulnerability and threat management functions at Western Union. The goal of the role is to find vulnerabilities and make sure of the remediation together with Business, Administrators and Developers. You will need to use skills including communications, system analysis, and critical thinking to provide short- and long-term remediation requirements for security vulnerabilities at network and application level that impact the company anywhere around the world.
- Work as part of the project and development teams as DevSecOps and assure that applications are developed in a secure manner.
- Follow the DevSecOps approach following Agile Scrum methodology to enable project teams to quickly deliver secure applications.
- Provide consulting on web, container and AWS applications security matters to development, engineering and network operations teams.
- Work with DevOps teams to make sure cloud and application architecture are following WU’s cybersecurity best practices.
- Work with application owners, IT, developers and project teams on targeted penetration tests of the whole application stack from network to application and processes.
- Manage and run advanced threat and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Work with stakeholders on reducing the risk level of applications and underlying infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).
- Play a part in automation of security testing and reporting efforts.
- Evaluate applications for appropriate and effective use of security controls using tools and techniques such as source code analysis, vulnerability scanners, and manual testing techniques.
Requirement:
- Recommend at least 5 years of information security and/or application security experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or other equivalent disciplines preferred; a graduate’s degree in the field is a plus
- Relevant industry certifications related to information security preferred (such as CISSP, CEH)
- Expert in application security, code review
- Expert with vulnerability assessment tools such as Qualys, Burp Suite, MetaSploit or similar tools
- Expert with application and network security/penetration testing tools and methodologies
- Strong experience in the security considerations around virtualization (Container) and cloud (AWS) and other cloud security controls
- Strong experience with OWASP and web technologies (scripting, SSL, HTTP/S) and their security requirements
- Knowledge of modern web and mobile applications frameworks and their security requirements
- Knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and standards
- Ability to communicate technical security requirements to technical and non-technical personnel
- Ability to collaborate with technical and vendor personnel, cloud service provider
