The Western Union Company

The Western Union Company is an American financial services and communications company. Its headquarters is in Meridian, Colorado, although the postal designation of nearby Englewood is used in its mailing address. Up until it discontinued the service in 2006, Western Union was the best-known U.S. company in the business of exchanging telegrams.

Western Union has several divisions, with products such as person-to-person money transfer, money orders, business payments, and commercial services. They offered standard "Cablegrams", as well as more cheerful products such as Candygrams, Dollygrams, and Melodygrams.

Western Union, as an industrialized monopoly, dominated the telegraph industry in the late 19th century. It was the first communications empire and set a pattern for American-style communications businesses as they are known today

1. Information Security Engineer (DevSecOps) 

Job Description: 

In this role, you will contribute to the vulnerability and threat management functions at Western Union. The goal of the role is to find vulnerabilities and make sure of the remediation together with Business, Administrators and Developers. You will need to use skills including communications, system analysis, and critical thinking to provide short- and long-term remediation requirements for security vulnerabilities at network and application level that impact the company anywhere around the world.

• Work as part of the project and development teams as DevSecOps and assure that applications are developed in a secure manner.
• Follow the DevSecOps approach following Agile Scrum methodology to enable project teams to quickly deliver secure applications.
• Provide consulting on web, container and AWS applications security matters to development, engineering and network operations teams.
• Work with DevOps teams to make sure cloud and application architecture are following WU’s cybersecurity best practices.
• Work with application owners, IT, developers and project teams on targeted penetration tests of the whole application stack from network to application and processes. 
• Manage and run advanced threat and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Work with stakeholders on reducing the risk level of applications and underlying infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).
• Play a part in automation of security testing and reporting efforts.
• Evaluate applications for appropriate and effective use of security controls using tools and techniques such as source code analysis, vulnerability scanners, and manual testing techniques.

Requirement:

•  Recommend at least 5 years of information security and/or application security experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or other equivalent disciplines preferred; a graduate’s degree in the field is a plus
• Relevant industry certifications related to information security preferred (such as CISSP, CEH)
• Expert in application security, code review
• Expert with vulnerability assessment tools such as Qualys, Burp Suite, MetaSploit or similar tools
• Expert with application and network security/penetration testing tools and methodologies
• Strong experience in the security considerations around virtualization (Container) and cloud (AWS) and other cloud security controls
• Strong experience with OWASP and web technologies (scripting, SSL, HTTP/S) and their security requirements
• Knowledge of modern web and mobile applications frameworks and their security requirements
• Knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and standards
• Ability to communicate technical security requirements to technical and non-technical personnel
• Ability to collaborate with technical and vendor personnel, cloud service provider

Job Description:

The position will work on product requirements, define and document business and operational processes, and manage execution of the sprints with the WU engineering team. This role will also be responsible for new technology evaluations, and customer experience flow optimizations. 

• Define and document product requirements, features, and functionality
• Manage products features through the feature development lifecycle
• Act as product owner in agile process
• Draft business requirements, author user stories with acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with scrum team members to ensure product features are delivered according to specifications, and schedule
• Analyze data to generate reports, analytics and recommendations
• Run A/B tests, prepare recommendations to improve conversions
• Review customer feedback, recommend and track improvements based on feedback
• Interact with other internal departments to formulate recommendations and actions
• Interaction with various groups around the globe, including becoming the SME for specific tasks

Requirement:

• At least an undergraduate degree in business or engineering
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent

• Strong experience in agile methodologies; PO certification preferred
