1. Jr Oracle Database Admin

Information Services and Technology (IS&T) provides all the required technology and operational support services to run the business in BMC. IS&T has around 200 plus servers on premises to support production, Disaster recovery databases, applications and around 1000 plus servers in Lab environment. IST&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, it gives 360 degree view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer.

Job Description

Understanding of Oracle Database structures and best practices.
Install and configure Oracle Database components and ensure access, consistency and integrity
Monitor all enterprise database environments and resolving issues (such as data, access, space, performance, etc)
Database backup, restoration and recovery.
Implement and maintain change control and testing processes for database modifications
Interface with Development and support application release deployments
Provide end-user support for database related requests (reports, data, code changes etc)
Work closely with LAB team for software installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience (partitioning, compression, indexing, statistics and query optimizer)
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 10g/11g/12c in AIX/Linux/Windows environment.
Experience in an enterprise OLTP and Data Warehouse environments

Requirement:

Educational Qualification-BE/MCA (Any Stream).
Around 2 to 3 years of experience in Database Administration in UNIX platform.
Should have at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Production Database Administration.
Ready to work in shifts (no night shift), weekend on-call support

2. Staff Specialist Product Developer - Perl

Job Description/ Requirement:

Perl monk or expert with 6+ yrs. of work experience in OOP Perl.
Hands on experience in development of software / tool using Perl is a must.
Proficiency in unix / linux and shell scripting is must as the entire development environment and product is based on linux or unix.
Knowledge about PHP or C / C++ would be a plus.
Working experience on database administration tasks or DBA knowledge would be a plus especially on Oracle / SQL Server / Sybase or DB2
Will be required to design & develop new features in the product plus to maintain the existing code base & fix defects.
Good at troubleshooting & communication.
Quick Learner & should be ready to explore things on his own.
Will be required to work on customer cases that are escalated to R&D and is required to talk with customers.
Ready to mentor or help junior or other team members.
